...and loving it! You never really meet the expectations you set yourself with things like this. I'm really positive about where we're going though. At least half the kids training with me live their lives with ADHD , autism or would be considered neurodiverse. I'm so proud of everyone's progress and that parents are trusting me with their kids. Lot's of whom wont have had the best experiences elsewhere. Each and every one of them is doing great.

I did get a comment in a very well meaning post not to focus on the ADHD so much and to be more positive. It definitely wasn't meant badly and I do understand the point. There is a lifelong stigma associated with ADHD in terms of the naughty kid and indeed autism. Horrible as it may sound, I get it and that there maybe parents out there with visions of a class that is bedlam. Maybe my child will be better off at a class less tolerant of different.

There are moments for sure, but make no mistake...you will miss the oppotunity for your child to train with some incredibly gifted kids. Also some incredibly funny kids. There's a nice mix in the class of fantastic kids and I feel very privileged. I don't think i've ever enjoyed coaching as much as I do now. I started training at 9 years old and started teaching at 17. At 50, you see the world differently and i'm definitely a lot more mellow these days. There are times when someone is going to get chewed out. Ultimately, it's a dangerous sport and when kids aren't listening you sometimes need to pull them up.

Class numbers are modest but steadily growing and the standard is excellent. The exciting part of itall is that with 30+ years of coaching, I can already look forward and see their future. I've got a few adults training at Middle Rasen, which is probably the stronger class at the moment. Lovely people and they are progressing niccely. I tend to focus a lot on hands at the beginning to develop that part of the game first. We then introduce the legs.

I got a message this week to see if i'd be willing to engage in delivering a taster session at William Farr school and the answer was a resounding yes on my part. Hopefully I will be able to sort that soon. I probably need to approach De Aston as well. A big thank you to everyone that is training with me and supporting the classes. I'm delighted with the progress of the classes and how everyone is progressing. I've added a recent class video below from the adult class.
